It's 1 hour ahead of Moscow. From last Sunday of March to last Sunday of September, Moscow time.

Credit cards
American Express, Visa, Master Card, Dinners Club are accepted in most hotels, large stores and shopping centres.

Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu are widely used.

State religion is Islam. However, other religions are permitted.

Currency
The cash unit is dirham. One dirham is 100 Phils. The import and export of foreign and national currencies is not limited. The dirham to the dollar has not changed for more than 10 years and is 3.66 dirham per dollar.

Holidays:
1 January, 6 August, 2, 3, 25, 26 December. There are religious holidays with a changing date, such as:
Id Al Fir, 3-4 days after Ramadan ended;
New year for Higer (Muslim calendar);
Prophet's birthday.
The dates of religious holidays are determined by the moon calendar adopted in Islam.

Visa. All visitors are required to obtain a visa with a guarantee of the sponsor, hotel or company. Visa may be a transit (14 days), a visit, a visa (60 days) or a tourist (30 days).
A copy of the front page of the foreign passport is needed to obtain a tourist visa. Women up to 30 years of age are allowed to enter the country only with the support of their husband or father. The normal visa period is 5 working days (40 y.e.), 3 urgent days and less working days (65 y.e.). When computing the timelines for the issuance of the visa, please draw your attention to the fact that Thursday and Friday are the weekends at the UAE. Please provide visa documents in advance.

Customs.
Authorized import: cigarettes - 2,000 cigarettes or 400 cigars or 2 kg of tobacco;
- alcohol - 2 litres of wine and 2 litres of alcoholic beverages for each non-Muslim;
perfume in reasonable quantities;
